Crenicichla Cincta Green?

I found these listed as Crenicichla Cincta Green. Did not know if they were true cincta or if they were just a common name. They are listed a medium/small 10.00 bucks each.
Vendor states that they were shipped in under Title name.

Aye, does look lucius like...lol. I don't know why its so hard to get in cincta....odd.

I don't see a tear drop or the mouth shape that common in Lubaris species pikes, looks to be a Sax pike. Plus the scales are to defined, IMO. Lub's usually have smaller scales and smoother looking 'skin'. Sax have more defined scales and the finnage looks wrong.

Did not think so, I thought sax also, but figured I would throw it out and get some responses. Another gimmick to sell. If it looks to good to be true, it usually is

Sorry bro, seems like some of the more common pikes are more difficult to get...lol. I really want to get the 'blue' variant of cincta...simply gorgoues!

Mine looks just like that. bought it a few months back as "pike". $6 why not. they say cincta because they will show the bars some times and the tail is similar. Cinctas will always have the bars.

thx, yep all mine. Fire is about 7-8" now. it stays under a broken roof shingle which is about that size. I think the pbass and hartwegii it ate def aided in the growth

Hey taz, I don't wanna derail this thread, but at what size did your Fire get really aggressive, mine is about 5.5 inches now and it's becoming a real azzhole to the other fish in the tank. lol
