these are on a my fish list but I don't no what they are or what they look like they have them as Red Pike- Crenicichla cyanonotus

never heard of it. when my LFS brings in "red pikes" they're usually C. sp. "Venezuela"

These are in the bellycrawler group. Go to Mostlycichlids.com , there should be a few pics there.

that species is not on mostly cichlids at all

They look similar to bellycrawlers, except a little more blunt and their snout tapers slightly. I believe their swimbladder isn't as atrophied as much as sp. 'bellycrawler' either. But they are DEFINITELY not a red pike.

Most of the time pikes that are sold as red pikes are johanna. Venezuela are often sold as black line pikes.
