Looks like Venezueala from what I can tell of the pic. And yes more resposes from the Pike forum. Grows quite large (at least 20") Will definitely outgrow and out compete (for food) the Frontosa that you have it housed with. I would definitely not keep it with the Fronts. It is a quite common, not as colorful as most other Lugubris.
 
Looks a lot like a Strigata from the pic. Definitely not a good mix with those Fronts.
 
True Strigata aren't that common and Venezuelas are alot of times listed as strigata in lfs's.
 
Yes i realize that they will outgrow and probably pick on the frontosas when it gets bigger since ive owned many pikes before. I just needed and I.D. No problems with the pike yet.Just have it with the fronts until my other tank is cycled which is pretty much done just wanted to cycle it a few more days to be sure. That aside the pike is a strigata???
 
No It is a Venezuela.
