Anyone here keeping this species (aka 'Malaria pike')????

Damn, I really dropped the ball on them. Should have gotten a pair or two when they were available last time. I forget who had them anyway! LOL

I have only seen pictures of them on the web, I have not had the chance to own or see one in person yet.

Rapps is who had them for the longest time, and they were uber cheap for what they were. I almost grabbed a few myself. I've heard rumors they tend to be slightly more aggressive conspecifically though, so you'd definitely have to have extra tanks ready for sure. They are indeed gorgeous though!!! Females get an ocelli in the dorsal.

"Spot On"

Man I am kicking myself for not grabbing some a while back. The stupid things we do....or in this case don't do!!

I have no more room anyway....... :)

There is always more room for awesome Crenicichla! You just get rid of the less desirable fish (anything nonCrenicichla!!!) and move the Crenicichla in!!!!
