I don't know if this is pretty spawning behavior but they've colored up and are jaw locking.

Very cool and thier colors have popped! Forget about marmoratas my rio tapajos is 8 inches and is nowhere as beautiful as your pair.... Esp that beat up one looks really pretty. Keep us updated. How big are they now?

They are about a foot or maybe 13 inches. Both are the same size. The beat up one is the female.

I hope I can get them to spawn. The 75 gallon is a little tight for them. May upgrade to a 4 foot 120 gallon.

I started with 6 and grew them out. The rest were sold or traded in. Male still likes to beat the female from time to time.
