I have a 36x18x18 gal tank (50gal). I recently had picked up 3 notos. Idk what happened but two of them and all my apistogramma agassizi died in one night. I checked the parameters they were fine. The fish were all fine for a couple days. Minimal squabbling and then all of a sudden they were all dead. Bodies looked completely normal. Untouched for the most part. I think it has to do with the food I served them. As a treat I gave them fish calamari shrimp and clams all minced up. But the calamari had garlic and lemon on it already. But I washed it off and The clams were the type you steam in the bag but maybe they were seasoned with something. Weird thing is this female still looks fine.
After monitoring this tank for a couple weeks to make sure it goes back to normal. I would like to get other tankmates for her. I keep reading other crenicichla and or apistos are big no nos so what should I be looking towards. I want to take my time and do it right this time (I bought the notos on a whim. I saw them and really liked them)
Edit: oh the tank is heavily decorated with driftwood and a lot of the plants. So anything that'll pull the plants up is no good
