Wake up everyone!!! Crenicichla availability is spiking like crazy right now, species that weren't previously available for months, some even for years, are now ready to be added to your tanks!!!

Just to name a few that I've seen listed within the past week:

Crenicichla compressiceps
Crenicichla cametana
Crenicichla marmorata
'Rio Tapajos'
Crenicichla sp. 'tapajos II' aka 'cobra'
Crenicichla cincta
Crenicichla sp. 'jegui'
Crenicichla regani
Crenicichla johanna

Hopefully things will continue to pick back up again and we'll start seeing more of the rarer pikes. Either way, tis a great time to for getting some new pikes for sure!!! They won't last long.

do you think i could get one with my jack dempsey in a 55? i really want one but i already have my jack dempsey

Think I am gonna pull the trigger on some marms. Abarilot, don't be tempting me with your celi.

Peanut. Yeah it's the best for us creni addicts. I just brought 5 marms And 5 cobras. I was away for a while with peacock bass and other species but seeing these species that I always wanted made me jump on it again and back forever lol. I think I will grab 5 cinctas also.

Man it really is good shopping for pikes right now, but as Chaitika stated, a little spendy. When I saw the price tag of said fish I was just kind of stoked that my biggest tank right now is a 40 Breeder, and its full of really young Tapajos orangeheads, tetras, cories, and platys. In other words, no room for big pikes, too many expensive feeders for dwarf pikes.

Unfortunately I don't have the space for marms but that would be a dream. I've wanted one ever since I first saw pictures of them. My lents ended up having to go because of their attitude, so marms are a no-go as well. :( I may try for some of the smaller ones as I have better luck with those.
