I have seen some proteus dwarf cichlids for sale but dint know how one would fare in my 250 lt 4 ft tank which houses 1 asian bumble bee cat fish 2 leopard bush fish and my ebjd .The thing is I live in a hard water area and don't know how one of these dwarf cichlid's would fare in my setup there are numerous higing places almost more bog wood than water.

They are pretty tolerant of a wide range of water parameters. They should be fine in that setup with those fish.
Well I placed an order for one crenicichla proteus should get on friday had pull out my 88 lt grow out tank where I grew my ebjd out for 8 months will do the same for the dwarf pike that way it won't have to compete for food against the other fish in my 250 lt until it is a good size if all goes well.
Well it arrived today very small about an inch and a half being so small was hard to get a good shot
