That works!! Tis a bit hard to get TRUE Crenicichla saxatilis though, or at least being sure its what you have. Only seen them a few times, most of the time they are either another species of Saxatilis pike...

thanks but im going to try and get it from a reputable source hopefully that way there will be a better chance of me getting a true saxatillis.

I hope you can find the true saxitilus you are looking for. Here is a pic of what may or may not be a saxitilus. I have had him for 7 years now, at 11". I have been told both yes and no as to whether or not it is a true sax. The mostly cichlids site listed previously has lots of great info,
