Anybody heard of them Pics info ? Rapps has them listed and so far i've found very little info

I emailed Jeff and he said that wasn't getting anymore pikes in the near future. He took the Altas off his list and added the ones you speak of.

My guess is he mislabeled the Alta's. He was supposed to send me pics of his Lugubris he has at the moment but never did. I just ordered some Gauchos from him along with True Parrots and Black barred Silver Dollars!

Cool thanks peanut i didn't bother scrolling down his home page till now and he has a pick of one looks like a neet little saxatilis wounder what they look like when mature

also wounder if they get alot of spangles ,do pikes get more spangles as they grow ? i've all ways thought some do but i've seen some that seem to all ways have the same aomount wounder if it depends on the species

Perhaps they are Crenicichla cardiostigma.

Not a bad guess, but isn't cardiostigma synonomus with alta? These pikes were sold as alta for a while, but we determined they were a seperate species.

I don't think they could be. Alta males are covered with millions of spangles and are found in Venezuela. Crenicichla sp.maicuru was listed as coming from northern Brasil.

Ok ill get on the job... j/k
nice pike!!!
