alright i have a 6in veni and a new baby xingu 1 that i am growing out i want to put these plus one more pike that my lfs has labeled as a green pike which could be any thing but from pics it looks like a marm. my original plan was to do these three pikes and cichla but i dont want an 8 foot tank for moving reasons but i can do a 6'long by 3' wide or so i would like to keep this tank all sa cichlids plus a lima cat. heres the stock list i would like to do 3 pikes, 2 oscars, 2 sevs, 2 waroo, and possible some earth eaters jiupari and the lima and pleco sound possible there will be plants and wood for hiding spots what do you think this will be my first truely sa only tank the pikes are my first as well and they are fast becomeing my favs

It could work, but is going to need a lot of filtration when they all get full size and mixing pikes is always hit or miss. I doubt it's a marm, but that would be awesome if it was. I would just get it whatever it is and try.
the 2 u have might be a hit, add a third and probably gonna be a miss. generally pikes dont like other pikes.
yeah i am gona pick it up wensday i will post pics if it is still there filtration will be done buy 2 fx5s or 2 pond canister filters water changes will be done bi weekly one 25% one 50 to 60%

i found out what type of pike my lfs has it is supposedly sveni but i searched the web and found that it looks more like a belly crawler and at 4 to 6 inches i will pass because it will be a snack for the other fish. though they have some nice waroo i may pick up
theres alot of sveni going around lately, hot pike when there adults. i personally have a m/f pair in a 90, hoping to get them to breed soon. putting one with a venz and a xingu1 would most def. be a bad idea. my daughters and son love all our fish. first thing out of my sons mouth when he sees a new fish is how big does it get? i brought home a rtc this weekend and he asked that. when i told him his eyes lit up like a christmas tree, it was great. my daughter in my avatar absolutely loves my sveni. there her fav.
