Crenicichla what?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's near impossible to tell from the pics but my first guess would be Cr. sp. "Belly Crawler". Does it pretty much sit on the bottom all of the time? The upward looking eyes are another hint.

Yes it does hide alot under pieces of rock and wood. Will try for better pictures this weekend.

Also most fish that hang out on the bottom, usually have a flatter belly..... I concur with everyone else, Belly crawler

Thanks for all the feedback.

Anyone interested in a Crenicichla sp. Belly crawler in northern sweden?Preferably in The republic of Jämtland. :nilly:

belly crawlers always hide....its kinda lame when they do.

they only get 6" at most man. he looks full grown

My male was almost 11"...;)...and my female got to be a reallly thick 8". So they do get large, and they are great pikes!! Mine were very active. Plenty of hiding places, and other fish that swim in the tank to make them feel more comfortable will help them be much more active. They are great pikes that are way underrated!!
