It's cool that they discovered a new pike and got it classified quickly(six years), but it not really that cool of a pike expecially compared to many other Acutirostris group pikes, not that I wouldn't want one . I'm curious to see what a live, prime specimen looks like.
On a side note, I wonder why they don't more work on some of the undescribed better known pikes or maybe the Strigata complex. I guess it's easier to describe a fish that is obviously different then it's closest known relative.
Yes, I'd love to see what one looks like when alive, too! Maybe not quite a tigrina, but if they're in Venezuela maybe they'll be easier to get our hands on some!
