Anyone with experience with these? Im looking for a lizard or reptile type pet that doesnt grow to large that I can handle in my last few years of college. I love to bond with animals so I would love a docile one. It has to be small considering I live in an apartment and preferably one that doesnt smell. Ive researched this a lot and crested geckos seem to be the best option for me and I love the looks. What do you all think? Tell me about your experiences?

I have 3 crested geckos and they are awesome little lizards. They are very friendly and don't seem to mind being held every now and then. I wish I had got my hands on them earlier. I bought the first one earlier this year and I got 2 more a few months later. I'm hoping to breed them in about 6 months or so when they're old enough.

I have 6. great choice for a college kid. room temperature 70-75 degrees, no need for lights, they dont smell, very handable, cheap to maintain (Repashy 8oz CGD lasts me 4 months with 6 geckos and thats 10 bucks.), and easy to take care of. there is also many diffrent types to pick from!

smell is rare.. usually dump's from eating crickets but mine all like poop in 1 spot its awesome...
My leopard geckos poop in one spot. My cresteds seem to go where ever they feel like it. I haven't noticed any smells at all.
what about poops on you? haha how often do they take a dumb while handling them, i know rats are somewhat prone to peeing and birds are often poopers while handling.
I've never had one poop on me while it was being held. I did have a male Golden Gecko that always pooped on me when ever I held him, lol.
Man im really hoping my next apartment will allow me to get one. I really am lookin forward to it, hopefully i can find a nice morph also.
