Crested gecko tank size

Hello everyone

I've heard that crested geckos need at least 12"x12"x18" terrarium, could i keep one in a terrarium with 23"x12"x12"?

I breed Cresteds and I've kept single juvenile animals in tanks as small as 12"x12"x18" exo terras but I think it would be cramped for an adult. They like to climb and the tank you mentioned isn't very high.
