I feed all my cresteds Repashy CGD. when I try and feed them crickets, I put them in a separate tank.. but I Feel they don't eat because they get scared from the move.. Think it would be a bad move to put the crickets in thier tank with eco earth substrate, or would this be to dangerous with impactaion, if they swollow a mouth full of substrate..

Input please.

Here is something I try..put paper towels down covering all the substrate a few hours before feeding..it should work well to see if their interested..then go from there :)

the ecoearth is fine and wont cause impaction all my cresties(6) eat in their home tanks andwe do cgd and crickets every once and awhile. if you have bark down its a different story but just eco earth is fine

I've only had my crested a little over a week but it's on EcoEarth and doing fine. So far it's pounding down crickets and roaches but I have yet to see it eat any of the Repashy CGD I've put in it's tank. The people at Petco said they were also feeding it fruit.

The eco earth is not going to give them impaction, I have mine on ecoearth and there are no issues there.
