I ran our of krill yesterday and didnt have the time to go buy some more. I noticed that some of my crickets that i fed to my gecko a couple days ago were still running about and THOUGHT about throwing them in. Then i realized that they might have a disease from the reptiles cage so i thought id ask u guys first.

Can fish be suseptible to reptile sickness? is it alright to do? :screwy:

Do you put calcium on your crickets?:D

Does not hurt to miss a feed every now and again.
It keeps the arowanas senses keen for food, instead of getting used to being fed at certain usual times etc.
And he will make a good show for you when you do get down to the shop to buy krill, he will be extra keen gobble up his food twice as fast!

just throw em in and watch the fun! :)

i dont dust the crickets with calcium. I just put a bowl of it so he eats the dust instead of his course sand. last thing i need is a sand impacted gecko.

yes he does. If he gets a calcium craving (when hes defitient)sp? he will eat the dust. As apposed to eating the substrate. Like calci-sand/bone aid. Or sometimes the crickets will just walk through it.

I feed my silver 12 large crickets every friday, I have a platic cool whip lid that floats on the waters surface I put the crickets on it, they eventually go into the water, my aro goes crazy for them.
