Hi,

What size of Crickets will be perfect for 14" Black Arowana ?

I can choose:

1 inch
3/4"
2/3"
1/2"
3/8"
1/4"
1/8"
1/16"

Thank you :)

i would think at 14" it wouldnt matter but i would go with the bigger ones but thats comin from some one that doesnt own an aro

I would go with the largest, if it appears your aro don't like you may try smaller. I would doubt that your aro will have any trouble though. Buy the crickets a day ahead of time and feed them shaved carrots, makes them more nutritious for your aro

Nice idea on the carrots never thought of that one....neway my 9 inch silver likes the inch ones...gives him something to destroy lol...I agree with Bderick your black should be fine on the largest ones...btw post pics

OK, Thanks !

I read today about breeding Crickiet, and it looks very easy. What do you think? It make sense to breeding Crickiet for one Arowana or maybe easiest way is just to buy couple crickiets ones per month ?

And one more question. I'm feeding my Aro superworms. Can I just stop buy superworms and change it to crickiet ? I heard tht crickiet is better.

Thank you

I would caution to you that eventually feeding only crickets will result in bloat.

Arowanas require a far more diverse diet.

I hear too many stories of Cichlids eating only crickets and dying 'mysteriously' though me and my fellow co workers will tell you it is because you were feeding crickets to fish.

any size but largest size is suggested

agree largest is the best and it fill up the aro much faster and uses less crickets. you know what that means...........cost less to feed.
