Hey Vemund. I find the image very interesting. Good composition and overall a good result. The main thing that distracts from the image though is the amount of floating particles. I think if just that alone was removed it would be a really great image. I always make a point to have my water and glass as clean as possible before any shoot. I also don't feed for 24hrs prior to shooting my fish to guarantee particle free water. IMO it really makes a difference to the final image quality.

I agree with greenterra.Get rid of those particles in water.
And i really like the composition to. It really makes a dramatic feeling when being watched :)

Thanks for the reply! I was thinking of keep the spots to give the impresion of dark murky water with a lot of detrius and particles, but you are right they are more disturbing than anything else.

Take it into photoshop and spend 10 minutes with the spot heal tool.. and Voila! Once you get rid of the particles, i think it's a winner.

I agree about the spots.

Also, the bottom of the fish needs more light. Having large areas of black with no detail detracts from the image. There should be some detail.

A bit more light into his mouth would have been great.....possibly seeing some teeth.

Keep it up.
