Ok guys I did it and im going to get yelled at.

I bought a Crocea and Maxima clam at my LFS (good price it was 2 for 110.00 and they are incredibly colorful vivid neon blue, etc)

However here is my issue. I know NOTHING about keeping clams... I mean I don't know the first thing about it.

Lighting conditions for this guy are good i've got 800 watts of MH.

However other then that.............what do i need to do to make sure these guys last years in my aquarium?

I read somewhere once they reach Approx 3-4 inches they no longer need to be spot fed?

ok treat them like you treat a sps coral the crocea need high light so it likes to be high in the tank the maxima will do well in the sand bed as for spot feeding its not nessary just keep your calcium at 400 ppm or higher and add phytoplanktin and they will do well

Thank you so much for the info!

Also I know again this is stupid but will any of my inhabitants pick on them?

Sorry for the long list i just usually never buy things i don't do homework on first so I was a bit fullish buying these on impulse i would feel horrible if i were to kill them.

just make sure you light acclimate them or you may stress them and don't forget they do need phytoplankton every other day like Phyto-feast which they do utilize for extra source of energy.
