hi all, im new to the forum and have some questions about the cross river puffers. Firstly i have a 450liter rena tank with one RENA Filstar XP3 external filter (1350 L/h), two RENA SmartHeater heaters (one 200W and one 300W) and a twin 36W lighting system. It currently holds 1x 7 inch green spotted puffer, 1x 8 inch MBU puffa, 2x barracudas and 1x 26 inch fire eel. But my dream fish is a cross river puffer but ive heard there very rare and hard the get hold of in the uk, if any one can tell me were i could get hold of one and the price i should expect to pay.
thanks:popcorn:

you are overstocked as it is! you can check with the vendors on here but expect to pay a hefty some for a cross river puffer.

well lets see whats wrong with your tank.

You are over stocked due to the Mbu alone. That fish is going to get close to if not more then 30inchs and your tank isnt big enough. The GSP should be in brackish water, if not full marine by now. And though I dont know much about cuda's i would think they will outgrow that tank also.

I have had the MBU for 4 years and it stoped growing a 2 years of age which was at 18 inchs. The GSP i have grow from 3cm to 7 inch in the space of 4 years and its doing fine (but i didnt know it needs a full marine tank). As for the fire eel if gets any bigger ill haft to sell but its fina at the moment.

Your mbu is terribly stunted:

I'd be very curious as to what the parameters are in this tank.

5 fish in a 60inch x 24inch x 24inch tank mmmm.... well overstocked
Those measurements can't be right. He says a 450L tank, which is only ~100g.

How is a 100g tank, "following the requirements" of a site that recommends a minimum of 500g?
