Calling on some of the CRS experts for some insight / experience...

So i was looking online at info regarding CRS and i came across a few links that mentioned anubias plants, when freshly cut / trimmed inside a planted tank housing shrimp can cause problems and even death to a shrimp colony?

Now i've also read people say that it doesn't seem to be true since they've done just that without any losses, but on the other hand, there seem to be a die-hard group that believe they have lost colonies of shrimp before because the anubias leaks some type of toxin when its been cut at the rizhome or something along those lines?

In other words, i'm looking for any one who has any insight or experience with this? is it true, or is this all just complete crap, especially since i'm housing CRS in my planted tank that has a few species of anubias in it, i don't want to risk losing my shrimp during trimming.

Personally I never had a problem. But then again I never had to trim or cut my anubias since they grow so slow. I know fish breeders that keep tons of anubias with their fish and also never had a problem.

I guess you could air on the safe side and only use established anubias. Like when you have to trim it, keep it in another tank until it recovers then place it back in your CRS tank.
