Okay this is the CRUD tank as it stands now. I am going to see if I can do something else with it next week. The brown bullhead has finally decided that it is through rearranging and clearing. I thought I had a pumkinseed but I believe it is a green sunfish. Please tell me what is is in Pic #1? Also is this a yellow breast sunfish in Pic #2? The rest are definately blue gills. When I added the sand to the tank, it was blown all over the tank by the filters and covered everything including my beloved algae/moss stuff. I am tempted the hose off the driftwood and put it back in. As you can see the catfish cleared almost half the tank of sand(look behind the driftwood) I left the right side of the tank alone for now, since the catfish moved the longest piece of wood, putting it completely flat. The sand-like dirt covered the moss/algae and killed it. Anyway, I think I will get some more algae stuff and 2 small pieces of driftwood for territories on the right, since the catfish changed it's mind about living on the right. The catfish hasn't eaten in front of me yet. It swims around until it can see me and moves to it's area and watches. Maybe I should try some ghost shrimp, to see if it will eat those in front of me. Hopefully, the catfish won't just push the shrimp away to the other side of tank, like it does fresh earthworms. Any ideas on the catfish?Fish caught on 5-31-2010)

I have decided that these fish will go into a significantly larger tank, and this going to be the practice tank for now.

Photo #1 does appear to be a green sunfish. Does the fish in photo # 2 have a largish spot located towards the base of it's soft dorsal fin? If so, then it is a bluegill.

That is a different look to your tank! I like it.

Thanks for the compliments. Does anyone have any idea what to do about the catfish not eating? Maybe the mouth is still sore, it was red on the right side from the hooks. The redness has gone. The guy that caught used a fish three prong hook bass lure similar to this: http://www.thejump.net/fishingarticles/GlowBass.jpg Do you think it is still healing?
