I think i remember someone saying that crushed coral helps prevent drastic ph changes... can anyone add on to this before i go and get it.. or am i completely wrong... my water when i do water changes is close to 6.4 PH should i raise the ph of every bucket i use or pour the cured water into the tank and then raise the tank ph?

O and the tank is freshwater... and if the coral info is right how much coral should i use in a 55 gallon tank to keep the PH around neutral... I even tried that neutral regulator and it really has not been working well...

yes and will it continue to stay around there while adding 6.4 ph water for water changes

I would add about a tablespoon to the tank every 4-6 hours until desired PH is reached. Once u reach ur desired PH level, u will never have to add the cc again. When fresh water is added it will automatically adjust that water to the correct Ph.

Yes this should be fine

does it take awhile.. i dont really see a change... its been about 45 minutes

It will take longer than 45 mins. Crushed Coral REALLY works to help raise PH... i usually check mines like in 8 hrs.
