Anybody have or had one I would love some info, I have done some research but would love first hand info on all aspects of this fish feeding,tank specifics,and price range I may be looking at. Thanks for any help.
 
Prepare one tank for himself as he would "kill" any tank mates unless you can provide very huge tank for community tank. I put mine, 65 cm long, in 3 meter bare tank. The tank mates includes snakehead 70 cm, chitala 60 cm and mahseer. Still, he made my chitala and snakehead get wounded. Mine feed on fish feeder.

I had one about 15 years ago for a while. He was about 12" long in a 6' tank with an assortment of other large cats. One day I came home to find the Hemibagrus had swallowed a 6" Synodontis up to his pectoral fins (tail first). I managed to get him to spit out the Syno, whose tail was only slightly digested... The Synodontis recovered fully and I got rid of the Hemibagrus. I sold him to a fish wholesaler for $40.00, I had paid $60.00.

Cool fish but ridiculously predatory.
 
They are cool but will kill everything...
