I have a 55 gallon with 2 adult angels and 3 large bala sharks. There are also assorted corys and a 10" fire eel. A customer of mine has a Ctenopoma acutirostre (african leaf fish) that she wants to give me. Has anyone experienced keeping these with angels?

Yep, mine get along fine. Pretty much ignore each other for the most part.
Amongst many other fish I have about a 4" angel with a very beefy 4.5"+ Ctenopoma acutirostre in a heavily planted 105 litre/27G tank. No issues.
