I have a Ctenopoma acutirostre that is now 3 yrs old and about 6". A male that shares the tank with a 12" polyopterus. He has now developed a growth on his lip that looks like a massive spot, any ideas what this could be?

Surely a fun looking and entertaining fish, how big now?

wow beautiful....just beautiful.. i love everything about this fish including the great picture.

cute little guy i got one about that size now around 3.5 years later hes about 6'' and really thick eats like a pig :)

Heres my old one-really regret getting rid of it a while ago. They always remind me of mini freshwater groupers and are really cool fish to keep. don't see them for sale here that often and when I do they're always too small to go in my tank.
