By the Beach!
I'm thinking of getting a Ctenopoma nebulosum to add to my 55g, but the only problem I forsee is my Ctenopoma acutirostre (Bubba) not liking the new addition. Has anyone ever added another ctenopoma to a tank where one has already established itself? Also the new one is about half the size of Bubba. Bubba used to chase cichlids I had in the tank but never hurt them. He is very peaceful towards my angels, plecos, and SA lungfish that are in the tank. Any experience keeping multiple ctenopomas would be greatly appreciated!!!

From what i understand it's best to keep ctenopoma in groups of 5 or more. Acutirostre's max size is much larger than nebulosum isn't it? I have had problems with larger acutirostre tearing up my smaller ones, had to move them to another tank to put on some more size. Maybe try it out, but be prepared to move it if you have to.

I couldnt find too much info on nebulosum but I believe they are the smaller of the two species. Thanks for the info! Anyone else?
