Ctenopoma growout

Hey guys, hows it going? After my bichir recovered from sickness, I got some new additions for my growout tank. 2 ctenopoma acutirostre and 3 spanner barbs. The buenos aires tetras act as dither fish. I think I was lucky with these two because they ate pellets immediately after they reached home. They're so cute at this size!

Update: They are almost 4 inches long and happily eating bloodworms and pellets! Wow they grew fast!

Wow I forgot this thread existed. Heres some pics of them now. Both are at about 5 inches and thick as hell.

Looking good....ctenopoma are probably my favorite of the mini monsters.I saw a near six incher in a shop a few weeks ago and it took quite a bit of will power for me not to buy it.

Yeah. I wonder why they aren't as popular as fish like oscars. These are beautiful, have personalities and reach a more manageable size. Lol we should start a campaign or something to promote ctenopomas
