I wanted to lighten up my bioload a little and go for the less crowded look in my tank. So I traded 4 silver tinfoil barbs, 1 albino tinfoil barb, 1 lemon barb, 1 lima shovelnose and a bag of marine macro algae for this flowerhorn. On a side note 125 gallons is not large enough for limas or tinfoils.

A few questions.

1) What kind of flowerhorn is this?

2) How old Is he? He is between ~4in.

At the store.

In my tank

Forgot to mention I also got this one eye panther grouper as part of the trade.

He is a kamfa he looks like hes got some decent genes, will probably color up some more with good food and a nice big 125. Will he be worth all those fish in trade? only time will tell. as for the panther im not a salt guy lol

Thanks. He is definitely worth all those fish even if its not monatary wise. Those tinfoils will swim all over the tank so fast it was stressing my fish out. My fish look so much better now and come out more. The tinfoils also needed a bigger tank. They will constantly crash into the walls.

No Red Dragons are NOT Kamfas. Cu455 you do NOT have a Kamfa, you have a Red Dragon and it looks to be a male with potential for a nice sized kok. Kamfas are a totally different strain of Flower Horn. Flower Horns, of all kinds, are the best because they are literally like under water dogs. They will follow you around on the front of the tank. Enjoy raising him, in a 125 he will grow nice and big.
