Well if it is infact a Cuban and you feed it a well balanced diet, keep up with your water changes and provide it with a nice aquarium set up it should grow up to be a real beauty. Post some pics i'd like to see it. Where did you get the little guy? I had one years ago and he was aggressive but not glass banger aggressive.

i got him from a lfs in Ft wayne called THE PETSTORE the guy has ordered from jeff rapps hes legit and i know its real, he gets real everything trust me. i'll post some pics up of him i have him in with an rd about equal size but theyre separated

I really like this species. Currently I have 1 male and 2 females I got from Rapps a while back, they're form 5-7". The male paired up with the larger female about three months ago and spawned for the first time late last month. I have them in a 125 along with a gram, midas and a loiselle of similar sizes. In my experience they are not overly aggressive. My male has become very interactive and has really been putting on some size. I feed them Hikari Gold and a mealworm or two here and there. Hope this helps.

I have a 12.5" cuban that is not agressive in the least :) which is just fine by me, he lives happily with a smaller festae and eats anything that hits the water. Hikari Gold is his staple, with the odd shrimp treat :)

Have you done a search? There's plenty of info for this fish on this board in this section even.

This fish is easier to raise once past the 3-4" mark. When under 5", they don't do well when stressed out. They are better raised in a solo tank or as a dominant fish. After the 5" mark, they are pretty much like a midas, and indestructible. One of my favorites.
