Cuban cichlid Male or Female

Okay a buddy of mine is trying to sell this cuban and wants to know the sex of it. I think it looks like a male and it is about 7 - 8 in. So i was trying to help him out by find out about this cuban

Looks female too me too but at that size it can be easily vented.

turn fish over carefully look at its hole on the bottom if it looks like this ( its a female if it looks like this < its a male
females have a oval vent, the males come more to a point. Good luck

I'd guess female and it doesn't look 7-8". Nice fish though.
