cuban cichlid vent pics need educated opinions please

vent this 5 inch cuban cichlid please. the vent is not very defined its blotched looking if someone get this id be very happy. also as you can see in the last photo he has the same thing my male jag has he has a little pointy thing sticking out of his vent area when he is free swimming i dont know if that helps or not

I am not sure I think it is a male from the last picture.
Here are two of mine, I think they are females

I would say female. Black dorsal, short unpaired fins and the lack of any spotting in the fins are all indicators of a female.
