Hey everybody. Ive been looking into cuban cichlids for a long time now. I really like them and ive heard mixed reviews about their aggression. Id like to hear peoples opinions about them and what would be good tank mates. I'm raising 4 wild green terrors right now. As well as a regular green terror and a jack dempsey and a female red terror. I dont plan in keeping all of the fish. Gonna wait for gts to pair off. But would they be safe with a cuban? Thanks everyone!

As you saw in my post, I am worried about aggression. He is one of the more aggressive fish I have owned. He has yet to be kept with a tankmate. Having said that, most attempts were while I was growing him out in 55. Now that I have moved him to a 120, we'll see. Very, very personable fish though.

Have any tank mates worked or no? The wild gts are pretty aggressive. But from what some people say is they will kill anything and everything...

While you will probably have better luck in a 120, a male tetracanthus could easily claim half the tank as its own, and get more aggressive as it matures.

always any cichlid sa ca as long as there hiding spaces for territories ,how big is tank,im talking for a 100 and up but they are aggresive but not pycho killers .only fish raised by there self early to 5,6 inches will kill at will, i think because they never think of the rest of the fish as family. reguardless of umbie, dovi, red devil or any aggresive or predator or over territorial cichlid .need room and hiding places ,i use pvc pipes 15 inch long 10 of them with top 15 aggresive cichlids now and before 5 years no deaths due to fighting or sickness.they,ll quarrel to around 7 inches then realize there family and work together. big water changes monthly to bi monthly and earthworms ,bloodworms ,pellets and krill. they will be happy
