Has anyone ever kept biajaca in brackish? Any difference in life quality or breeding? I am aware that they come from brackish deltas as well in Cuba, but do they thrive there?
probably not their ideal habitat but i would imagine they'd do ok... mayans and ferrel flowerhorns aswell as various other cichlids have been reported as breeding in full marine conditions ive heard!? dunno how true this is? if you were gonna try it they'd have to be acclimatised slowly rather than dumping them from fresh to brackish... you planning on trying it?
I am planning changing around my tanks (I am always changing things around). I was wondering because I have a freshwater lionfish I may rehome possibly with them. I read Neil Monks' book of Brackish fish. He mentions this but not in detail. Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas? Thanks!
