Ok so I have bred a few fish in the past but I have never seen this before... For about 2 weeks now my male has been chasing and playing and doing some major breeding behavior with his only tank mate Cuban female... Her tube dropped 2 days ago and they got even more into it right up until today. Today I come home from work and she is all fired up cleaning her plate and he is on the other side of the tank paying absolutely no attention to her at all. She is now laying hundreds of eggs on one side of the tank and he is on the opposite side just swimming around like she isn't even there. He refuses to go anywhere near the eggs even after she comes over and flares up at him. These fish have spawned before at least 3 times. What the heck is he thinking now?
