Where the Parachromis roam...
I need your advice,i have another 125gal tank and want to add fish,it will have a 3"Texas,a 4"Dempsey,3"Dovii and a 2" Firemouth.Tommorrow i was thinking of trading in some of my baby Dovii for two 3" Cuban Cichlids. Are the Cubans aggressive enough to live with these other fish, the LFS said yes what do you guys say??:headbang2

With the exception of the Dovii, the cuban can hang with Your stock list.

I have my Male Cuban in with my Dovii 10'', Red Devil 14'', Peacock Bass 18'', and 23'' Arrow. Trust me a Male Cuban 9'' (maybe) can hold it's own. A female that's another story all together. They do not get big enough 6-7'' max and that's pushing it.

My plan is to take all the fish out of the tank move the decorations around, turn the lights off and put all the fish in together, does this sound ok??Or is there a better way??Thanks Nick.C.

Each fish has it's own personality. Some Cubans I have had could hang with anything and others couldn't hang with a tetra! I agree that the males get larger and are usually more aggressive. There are always exceptions. All you can do is try them and be ready to move something if trouble erupts.
