Suddenly I noticed that my cuban gar couldn't swim and just shook.
My camera recorded the other tank when it happened, so I have video of it through the reflection in the glass. I'm not as good as the guys in CSI so the quality is really, really bad. I have a stingray in the same tank as the gar, but as you can see he was not near the gar. The gar seems to just suddenly swim strange. I don't believe he swam into the glass and broke the back since the left side is covered with a filter pad, so it's pretty soft.
Right now I have him hanging in a towel just under the surface so he can get air easily. Once a day I let him out to see if he's getting any better. He's pretty active but still can't swim.
What could be wrong with the gar and what should I do?
