Cuban gar with dark spot

My cuban has a darker spot which it got a while ago. Not really sure how long it has been there. Otherwise it's normal and eating as it should. Water is good.
The gar is about 30 cm, and its tank mates are a tropical gar (~50 cm) and 3 rays (17-28 cm).

Any ideas?

I had a peacock bass in with my Rays and one of these spots appeared, within a few days it had a fit and died. some people suggested that it was where the fish got slightly darted by one of the rays?

It's an injury inflicted by one of your tankmates. Identidy the culprit and seperate it. Right now, add salt and do 50% water changes.
