Hi I wanted to know if anyone knows where 1 could buy a cuban or tropical gar. Around how much would either of them be for a 6-10 inch gar.

Tangled Up in Cichlids has 7" to 9" tropical gars for $275. I know of one place that may have Cuban gars, but they're pretty expensive and are smaller than what you're looking for. Regardless, you might have some luck if you post a want ad in the Marketplace.
Yeah I saw the tropicals at TUIC but I'm actually more interested in the cuban. I would have posted in the marketplace but I NEVER get a decent response no matter how many times I bump.
Send a PM to kevinfleming21 about the Cuban gar; he had something posted about one a while back and mentioned that his source could get more. I can tell you that it will cost you in the realm of $400 to $500 for the gar, though; there are less than 200 of them in the U.S. after all.

You can get them that price in Canada, or even cheaper. Last they were available they were 65ea for a 2"+ cuban. As far as the states the best price I've heard recently was $350 ea.
Dang, I wish that the U.S. government could end this whole Cuban trade embargo thing; I bet they'd be around that price if we didn't have to jump through hoops in order to get those gars here.
