i have a little cuban cichlid that i will soon move to a 50 gallon breeder.
my question is should the sand be black with a black backround or white sand black backround? what would show off this wonderful fish to his best.

black on black. or like i am doing soon. black back with grey/black tile.

my 4 little cuban grow outs are in a 55 with black background and normal river rock dim lights on top it really brings the color out on the little guys.

my cuban has always been on white with black background, I switched to black on black and his colour really didnt pop as much IMO.

Do a mixture of black and white sand with some fine gravel. That would look nice.
