Finally got rid of the midas pair so now I can focus on growing out my cubans. They are really coming along nicely and are getting along great too(knock on wood). They now have the 125 to themselves except for the silver dollars. I haven't measured them but they have putt on some bulk. My centrarchus are also growing nicely. They are getting tons of green and love to be at the front of the tank. I am loving both species. Hopefully I get a spawn from the cubans soon.

both species look great,in the same 125 tank? is there much fighting/chasing?

Good lord no. Centrarchus are in a separate 29. I have tried on two different occasions to introduce the cents to the 125 but every time the cubans relentlessly chased them up and down the tank despite the amount of room and hiding places. The cubans are nasty. There is no way I could introduce any cichlid smaller or the same size as them into the tank. They would tear it to pieces.

They look nice man I really like the Centrarchus I have wanted some for a while now. How are they personable?

Centrarchus have just as much personality as my cubans and my old midas. They are constantly begging for food at the top of the tank and are always out and about flaring at each other and chasing each other. Very fun fish to keep.

That's cool do you still have the pair? These guys are already displaying quite a bit but I think they are too young to pair off. It's wierd but it seems these guys aren't hard to find in the DMV area.
