There's a pair of young polleni at the LFS that are getting no attention since they're smaller (and beige). Been there for about six weeks. I'm prone to rescue them, but I was moving a pair of young cubans into a 95G (60x18) tank, which would be their only refuge. I'm guessing this won't end well, but I thought I'd pitch it to the experts. They are all under 3.5 inches

All fish are different............but I had a pair of polleni with a pair of jags in a 75 for quite awhile. all fish were about 6-7 inches.

I keep Paratilapia with a number of new world cichlids with success, and have kept them with Cubans in the past,

but if the Cubans have been in the tank a while, they may have laid claim to all of it, and the Paratilapia may be at a distinct disadvantage. Rearranging decor might help to confuse any territorial boundaries, and give things a chance to work out. Paratilapia do get large, and a 75 is a bit small long term though.

I currently have a 6 inch polleni in with a male Cuban. The Cuban is more of a boss and the polleni just avoids him. I thought my jag would be the one with the problem with the polleni but I was very wrong . She has taken quite a bond with the polleni.
