I'd throw some blue-leg hermits in there too. They are really better at cleaning up leftover food and waste from fish feeding and what not.... so I guess if you're just worried about algae they aren't necessary. But if you're ordering a package anyways I'd go ahead and get some.

BTW....those quantities for the smaller snails don't really mean anything. When the package shows up you'll see what I mean lol

Lol, I went back on your thread and looked at the numbers sent compared to what u ordered, I hope they hook me up like that. Thats how u get return customers.

What algae do i not have, im pretty sure its my tap water. Phosphates are probably through the roof. Ive got the green looking dust on the glass, cyno and what looks to be the start of hair algae on my rocks, and diatom on my sand. You would think my nitrates would be high that would cause some of that, but ive got them under control with less than 5 ppm. I cut back the timer back some so the lights are only on for about 8 hours and that has helped a little bit. I could probably stand to cut back even more.

the best thing to eliminate the source of the phosphates save up and get a RO/DI unit get some more flow and snail's to the tank and do a 10% water change weekly in the mean time to keep phosphates low

A RO/DI unit is next on my list. Cleanin the glass every other day gets old quick.
