how long can i leave it in the tank before it is bad... that goes for all veggies too. i am feeding my new bristlenoses.

If they don't pounce on it right away.. take it out within a couple of hours.. they would also like zuchnini.. i think even more.. i par boil mine in microwave until it slightly soft and then it will sink down to bottom. if they are not interested in it by day..try night feeding..

tyr "stuffing" a piece of zucchini with some pellets weigh it down with a fork feed at night they will love it.my plecos like their veggies raw

agree with what liz said. cut slices of the cucumber and put it in.it should be gone in half an hour. i have never had to remove the cucumber once i put it in my tank because its never there after an hour.

i put a bit in one night and by the next night what was left was furry, i completely forgot about it until the missus wondered what the fluffy thing in the tank was.

I usually put it for about 6 hours under their driftwood.

It's more of an interest food IMO, same with our GGs and lettuce keeps them busy. Take it out after a couple of hours if you've got no signs of interest
