so i was just at my lfs and he got a small order in today, he has what is labeled as a red sea cucumber, this thing is about 8 inches long. im wondering if all sea cucumbers are safe or if i need to be careful. the tank he will be going into is a FOWLR tank so no annenamies or corals

i just did some very fast google research and i found the family of sea cucumber it is, its a synaptid sea cucumber, still not sure of to much more then that tho

I can tell you this much...

The ditritivors will nuke your tank when they die.

The filter feeders are still toxic when they die, but not as bad.

from my understanding, if they feel stressed or threatened as well as when they die, they let out a toxin that will nuke ur tank.

the coloring is almost the same but the physical aspects of the body are different. this guy looks like corn on the cob lol.he has big bubbles

That thing looks like a turd. A living turd.

No offense. But seriously.

They are big bad juju when they die. So be careful, keep an eye on the bugger.
