sold to me as red tail, but dont think so. note ace falcirostris have 2 black lines vertically at this size and ace minimus are thinner and more transparent also lack the black dot on gill. so lets throw those sp. out b4 hand. this fish has black trim around tail and a dot behind gill plate, with a pliers like grill.

Deeper body and humeral spot suggest A. altus or A. pantaneiro. Do you have a collection point?

no collection, point but a got em from tfd as redtail, sent 2 minimus and this guy. that colored dorsal is throwing me off.

A small altus IMO.

I would say A. pantaneiro over A. altus judging by the black trim on the caudal and dorsal fins as well as the coloration of the dorsal. You will need to grow it out a bit or get a collection point to be sure. Either way you have a nice fish.
