I cannot wait to have a pair of Cumberland Slider babies! they are so adorable! does anyone have them here? I've been trying to look for them around but all I could find is the Red Ear Slider. A cutie too but the reason I am going for the Cumberland Slider is because they remain smaller ( the male - correct me if I'm wrong ). I understand they are rare species.

Is it ok to have a pair of males instead of male and female? Because I am not planning to breed, although it does make me feel bad to not let them have the fun of reproducing, I'm still thinking!:)

not to sure, but why not breed? if they are that rare (not sure about this species) you should be able to pass on offspring easily. CB is a good thing!!!!

Yup yup, good idea. Even though the only animals that actually enjoy the breeding part is us and dolphins.

You're still going to need a huge tank. 10G for every inch of turtle. Also, how will you know they are male? They can only be sexed at 4", unless they are temperature sexed which isn't always accurate. Do you have all the proper equipment (UVB lighting and such)?
