I just noticed one of my albino tiger barbs in my 29 has a purpleish red looking bruise on one side of his abdominal area. Do you think this may be bloat, or that he ran into to something??? They get fed, spirulina enriched brine shrimp, krill, and a lot of bloodworms, along with sera vipagram. Anyone know what this might be? And is he gonna die miserably, he doesn't seem to be suffering or impaired at all by it, but it looks pretty bad, just looks like a big bruise on his side but I can tell it is on the inside which really worries me.

Giv eit a couple days and see what happens.

They are almost impossible to catch, I have no camera besides my crappy ass camera phone which you wouldn't be able to see in the pic anyways, and i dont wanna net him out and get him out of the water in case he ends up really injuring himself while I'm trying to catch and net him.

I've only ever seen this once, with a betta. Unfortunately he developed dropsy shortly after and passed on into fishy heaven.

How is he swimming? Is he having any swim bladder related problems? Any sign of constipation?

Well he is swimming fine, but...for the past 3-4 days I've caught him in his "sleeping" posistion which is tail up nose down as all barbs sleep and I've just disregarded it as he is just sleeping, but the light was on those times. He is passing his bowels normally, long brown strings, not stringy, or white. But it sounds like you may be onto something with the swim bladder being the cause of him being stationary and in his "sleeping" posistion.:screwy::nilly:

Is it turning any other color? Missing any scales???

Nope color is the same, no scales missing. I think he has rammed into a piece of driftwood and caused some serious internal damage, he stomache looks a little swollen now and you can see the blood through his scales, including the bruising. And the internal bleeding looks to have started to go to the other side of him too. I really like this little guy when I put a bloodworm cube in between my fingers he will come beach him self on top of the cube with just enough water to cover his gills and just eat like a pig, I dont think he is going to make it.:(

Unfortunately, I think you're right in that he's sustained internal injury. If your other fish will tolerate it, maybe try a bit of salt.

I hope he pulls through!
