I know that fats are not soluble or atleast are partially soluble at best like lipids... However if you gave your flower horn fish omega fatty acids would they benefit from it..i mean you can desolve it and empty the water layer out of a funnel type container let your dry foods soak it up and then hand feed it to your fish..so it is possible to do it just wanted to know your opinion on that .

:screwy: I might be going crazy because my theory of TLC is not working.

FIltration that is top notch with weekly water test that are all normaly in ph, ammonia zero, nitrites zero, nitrates zero.

Water changes that is twice each week, crush coral mixed with the gravel to give the ph the extra buffer effect.

Diet of meal worms, blood worms, shrimp, krill, flower horn pellets SANYU and AWEEK , frozen beef heart ..

Tank that is 55 gallon for only one flower horn and a 10 gallon for a growing 1.5 incher..gonna get him a new tank too..

BUT after many many flowerhorns that i have grown and gave back to the LFS or gave away none have ever developed any hump..I grow them till about 6 inches though and all zz

I feed them 2 times a day and during weekends 3..

Oh and the tanks are fully cycled which goes without saying heheh..

:nilly:
---- TLC isnt enough its in the genes dont get it if it doesnt look fantastic already because it wont ever look it hahah ----

Can someone tell me I am wrong please.

hehehehh

i 'm no expert and just starting outwith fh. some facts i found true and some they just get away with it, becuase it work for one are two time. i gave up on get a fh to impress the public so im starting on a 10 year project of line and selective breeding to get a fh i can truely call mine.............

it's all about genes bro. But omega 3 fatty acids and HUFA's are supposed to help kok growth. Cyclopeeze is a great source of both along with anaxtacin. You have good routine, and great varied diet, but you can coddle a turd and it will still be a turd. If you get ahold of a fish with good genes, it will really develop with your plan. My best advice is to be patient untill you find something your looking for.
